Hi, I’m Haylie O’Hanlon (she/her), LCSW, PMH-C.
I help women—especially new moms—navigate the messy, emotional, and often overwhelming transition into motherhood. If you’re here, I want you to know: you’re not alone, and there’s nothing wrong with you.
Online Therapy for Women Struggling with Motherhood, Anxiety & Perfectionism in California
You thought this would feel different. You used to feel confident, in control, like yourself. Now—after baby—you feel overwhelmed, anxious, maybe even resentful. You miss your old life. You miss you. And you're wondering, “Is it just me?”
It's not. You’re not broken. You’re human. And this is hard.
I'm a California-based therapist offering virtual therapy for women and new moms—so you can show up just as you are, from the comfort of home, baby in your arms or not. No commute, no pressure, just a space that fits into your life.
I specialize in postpartum therapy, perfectionism, high-functioning anxiety, and relationship challenges. I support women who look like they’re holding it all together, but feel like they’re falling apart inside.
In our work together, you don’t have to pretend. You can love your baby and still grieve the life you left behind. You can feel grateful and lost. All of it belongs.
Therapy with me is a soft place to land—a space to be honest, messy, tired, and real. We’ll unpack the unspoken weight of motherhood, identity shifts, emotional labor, and disconnection—so you can start to feel more like yourself again.
If you're a woman in California looking for online therapy that meets you where you are, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Click below for a 15-minute free consultation.
My Approach to Therapy
I’m here to walk alongside you—not to “fix” you—because you’re not broken. Through virtual therapy for women and new moms in California, I help you reconnect with your inner strength, resilience, and wisdom. Healing starts where you are.
Together, we’ll explore how past relationships and limiting beliefs may keep you feeling stuck or anxious. I offer an individualized approach that includes tools for nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and building confidence—especially for those struggling with postpartum challenges, perfectionism, high-functioning anxiety, and relationship stress.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially for new moms and high-achieving women used to “holding it all together.” My goal is to create a safe, collaborative, and compassionate space where you can be honest, messy, tired, and real.
You don’t have to show up “put together.” Whether you’re on your couch with your baby or taking a break from your busy day, this virtual space welcomes all of you.
If you’re ready to start feeling more like yourself again, I’d be honored to support you. Reach out today to schedule a free consultation and take the first step toward healing.
The Heart of My Practice
-
With years of experience in grief and family therapy, I understand that major life transitions—like becoming a mother—bring complex emotions, anxiety, and identity shifts. My background in supporting women through postpartum challenges and anxiety gives me a deep empathy for this unique journey.
As a new mom who has personally faced postpartum anxiety, I combine professional expertise with lived experience. This allows me to offer compassionate, individualized therapy that meets you where you are, helping you navigate motherhood, life transitions, and mental health with understanding and care.
-
My clients trust me because I trust them—our relationship is a true partnership, not hierarchical. I bring authenticity, warmth, and genuine empathy to every session. You’re invited to bring your whole self—whether you’re navigating postpartum challenges, anxiety, or major life transitions—and I’ll do the same. We’ll laugh, cry, cuss, and work through it all together.
I deeply value your feedback and trust that you know what you need from therapy. I welcome questions and challenges to my ideas—it helps us grow and heal together. Many women say they feel like they’re talking to a friend and leave sessions with greater self-love, kindness, and clarity. That’s the supportive, compassionate space I aim to create for every client.

I believe sharing a bit about myself helps build trust, so I’m happy to answer your questions and share my experiences when it feels relevant—with your permission, of course.
A little about me: I grew up in Southern California, spent some time in Utah and Massachusetts, and now live in LA with my husband and our baby, who was born last year. Becoming a parent has been both challenging and deeply rewarding.
Before becoming an LCSW, I worked as a hospice music therapist, so my music taste is quite varied—from Billie Holiday and Hank Williams to Biggie and Glorilla. I enjoy dancing and have two cats with human names, plus a sourdough starter I consider part of the family.
This work is truly my calling, and I feel grateful every day to support women through life’s transitions.
